In Loving Memory of Carson B. Hamilton

January 3, 1943 – September 29, 2025

In fond reembrace and celebration of a life well lived, we share the passing of Carson (Bev) Hamilton, who went home to his Lord and Savior on September 29, 2025. After a courageous nine-year journey with Alzheimer’s, his legacy continues to live on in the hearts of all he touched.

Carson was born in Dante, VA, and spent his early years playing football for Castlewood High School and East Tennessee State University. He went on to earn his law degree from LaSalle University while working at Allstate Insurance. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a vision for something greater, Carson and Harry Victorine founded Commercial Insurance Services in 1980. That vision continued through his son, Stephen Hamilton and business partner, Rand Wright with the establishment of HAWK Advisers in 2015.

Carson was a devoted husband to his wife (Sandy) of 47 years, father, grandfather, and friend. To those who knew him, Carson was a true gentleman who dedicated his life and career to the service of others. He was a man of principle who led with humility, kindness, and integrity. As his son Stephen shared,

“My dad was an incredible man who modeled what it meant to be a good husband, father, leader, and friend. He had a dream of starting his own agency and building a thriving place to collaborate with talented people. He operated with integrity and a principle for doing the right thing. [Our team] is evidence of a vision that started with humble beginnings and continues to strive toward those same values. We are at peace knowing he is in the presence of the Lord.”

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Craig Mitchell, the staff at Brandon Oaks Memory Care, and Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassionate care during Carson’s illness.

Carson was loved beyond measure, and he was faithful in stewarding well the things that were entrusted to him. Carson will be remembered for putting others’ needs ahead of his own and operating under the principle of doing the right thing.

Thank you for your heartfelt condolences and prayers.
